David Knight - Director of Client Services

Based in Brooklyn, New York, David’s diverse background encompasses over 10 years of executive level experience in airport food and beverage retail operations, procurement and distribution management. He also brings several years of successfully growing sales and managing operations in the NYC regional market for a triple-bottom-line organic chocolate snack brand to his vital role in Operations. David’s true passion for working with sustainability-focused entrepreneurs makes him a perfect addition to the MetaBrand team.

Andrey Ayrapetov - Creative Director

Andrey brings over 9 years of experience in the food & beverage Industry specializing in novel and emerging technologies, natural ingredients and processes. Prior to Metabrand, Andrey was the head of Operations and R&D for World Waters - developing, launching and executing operations for their flagship product WTRMLN WTR.

He founded East Breuckelen Trading company, offering consulting services in food & beverage formulation as well as market and operations strategy working with several naturally focused brands including Organic Avenue, Rawpothecary and Liquiteria.

Shwet Patel - Research Technician

Shwet has developed many ready-to-eat products during his past five years in the food industry. He also brings expertise in IQF (Individual Quick-Freezing) technology to his work at MetaBrand. He obtained a B.S in Food Processing & Technology and notably, designed a milk deaerator, for removal of dissolved gases from boiler feed water, while in his undergraduate program at Sardar Patel University, India.

Alessandra DeCicco - Regulatory Manager

Alessandra brings 10 years of Regulatory Affairs experience to MetaBrand. After graduating from Rutgers University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nutritional Sciences, she worked for Robertet Flavors and subsequently for Pinnacle Foods, Inc. She provides extensive knowledge in FDA, USDA and Canadian food regulations. Her responsibilities have included maintaining regulatory documentation for numerous flavors, working with cross-functional departments in the development of new food products, and reviewing formulations to assure compliance with U.S. and Canadian food regulations.

Daniel Karsevar - Operations Manager

Daniel is a problem solver at his core. A trained Chef, hospitality professional, restaurateur, serial entrepreneur, business consultant and product development expert.

After having worked for a year in France and Italy, Daniel returned to the USA and founded a business consultancy company based in New York City, which is focused on restaurant, culinary concepts, menu development, and CPG product development. In 2007, Daniel was hired by Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide to spearhead a new restaurant development department for their global collection of hotel brands. An example of his success, was leading a multi-national group on a project that ultimately resulted in the launch of a global breakfast program with Chef Jean Gorges Vongerichten. Additionally,Daniel developed and launched the food and beverage programs for Starwood Hotel & Resort Worldwide’s newest brands Aloft & Element hotels.

Daniel was the Co-President and COO of Chloe’s Soft Serve Fruit Co, a wholesale and CPG natural foods company. Under Daniel’s leadership, the company built out a production facility and later partnered with a national co-packer, which led to prominent food service accounts like Compass Group and Sodexo and retail accounts such as Costco and Whole Foods. Daniel was instrumental in developing product line extensions.

Daniel held the position of Director of Operations at Chefs Club by Food & Wine and launched the flagship location for this newly formed restaurant group in New York City, built out a corporate office, and oversaw their Aspen,CO restaurant.
